At La Black Mamba Studio, we focus on creating signature designs here in our Okanagan Tattoo Studio. Our artists will reinterpret the reference images you provide to create a unique piece tailored just for you. It’s crucial that you review the portfolio of the artist you choose beforehand to ensure you feel comfortable giving them the creative freedom needed to match the style you desire. 

Each artist at our studio has a distinct work methodology, and your selected artist will inform you about their specific process. Please note that hourly rates may vary depending on the artist.

We emphasize the importance of being completely certain about your decision to get the tattoo and the design you want. Starting the design process without this certainty can lead to complications.

If you choose to abandon the finalized design and start a completely different project, we require a new deposit. This deposit will not be deducted from the final cost of the tattoo, as the artist will need to restart the process and reschedule to create a new design for you.

We don’t allow major adjustments to the design on the day of your appointment. At La Black Mamba, we value the time of both our clients and artists, and last-minute indecisions or changes can cause delays or disrupt the artist’s daily schedule.

To avoid such situations, you’ll have the opportunity to review your design before the appointment. Depending on the artist, you can review the design either in person or via email.

Please read all of our policies before booking. 

We require deposits to secure your tattoo appointment, and these vary based on the size and complexity of the tattoo. You can make payments in cash or via electronic transfer. Our artists will begin creating custom designs only after receiving your deposit.

We confirm appointments only after receiving your deposit. If you book by phone, please submit your deposit within hours of your call; otherwise, we may offer your spot to another client, especially if your artist has a waiting list.

Please send your deposit to the email provided by our manager, and include your artist’s name and the date of your appointment in the notes section of your electronic transfer.

We will deduct the deposit amount from your final payment once your tattoo is 100% completed.

Please make sure you are fully available on the day of your appointment, as the execution of your tattoo must align with the planned session. Deposits are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, you may do so once, provided you notify us by phone at least 48 hours before your appointment.

Deposits cover the time your artist spends on your design and reserve your spot in the studio. If you fail to show up on the day of your appointment, you will forfeit your deposit.

 

 

We cannot tattoo anyone who:

  • Is under the influence of illicit drugs, strong sedatives, or alcohol, or lacks reasonable hygiene.
  • Is pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Takes blood thinners, immunosuppressants, or antibiotics.
  • Is undergoing fertility treatments.
  • Suffers from hemophilia.
  • Is sunburned or has skin conditions that prevent us from tattooing the area.

Important

Due to insurance requirements, you must provide a doctor’s note before we can tattoo anyone with the following medical conditions:

  • Diabetes (Type I and II)
  • Heart disease
  • Seizure disorders
  • Serious skin or blood disorders
  • Recent surgery
  • If you are taking antibiotics

If you begin treatment after booking, please inform us in advance so we can reschedule your appointment.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we cannot make exceptions.

If you do not provide a doctor’s note or if any ineligibility criteria apply on the day of your appointment, we will not proceed for safety and liability reasons. In this case, you will forfeit your deposit to cover the artist’s fee.

**Minimum Age Requirement: 18 Years (or Close to Birthday)**

We require a scheduled in-person interview with the adolescent and their legal guardian to discuss the design, placement, and, once approved by the studio, to sign the parental permission form.

As a studio, we take our responsibility seriously in guiding this irreversible decision, knowing that decisions made at a young age can sometimes lead to regret later in life. Our goal is for you to always love the tattoo you get with us and cherish the experience of getting your first Tattoo.

We encourage you to take this step with care and allow us to act with absolute honesty.

Please present a valid government-issued photo ID at the time of the interview to proceed.

Acceptable forms of identification include:

– Driver’s License
– Provincial Services Card
– Passport

We offer a free touch-up for your tattoo within the first year, provided you follow our aftercare instructions exactly. Our artists can recognize signs of poor aftercare. While tattoos in flexion areas like the neck, knee, elbow, wrist, hands, and feet are not covered by our guarantee, your artist will decide whether to provide this service free of charge or for a fee, depending on the situation. We want your Tattoo to be perfect—don’t you?
